World Soil Day and Fertile Land (22 de junio)

Soil is a resource for the world as a consequence of agricultural, livestock and mineral exploitation. From an environmental point of view it is a nonrenewable resource, because it is formed, it takes extremely long time.

The soil consists of weathered and transform organic matter decomposed without being fully materialize and mineral matter. Also it has a fluid fraction formed by water containing soil and gases, including both in its porosity. These three soil fractions coexist harmoniously.

It is suggested to take the following measures for their protection:

  • Avoid erosion
  • Agricultural markings inappropriate
  • Crop rotation, etc.
