World Oceans Day (08 de junio)

In 1994 the United Nations Convention on the Law for Oceans entered into force. June 8 is celebrated from a Canadian initiative.

Two thirds of the surface of the Earth is covered by oceans, which are a source of infinite resources: food, energy, water, hydrocarbons and mineral resources. The sea, in interaction with the atmosphere, lithosphere and biosphere, favors conditions that allow different life forms on the planet
