Rainforest Day (26 de junio)

The International Day for the Preservation of the Tropical Forests held with the aim of promoting sustainable actions with the environment, using natural resources.

This initiative is of great importance in various regions of the world such as Central and South America, Asia and Africa, where the responsible forest uses promotes the proper functioning of the economy, and ensure the development of people.

Of concern is the rapid deterioration or complete destruction of many areas of tropical forest wet. Las economic pressures and population growth are intensifying the use of land that previously was sustainable (shifting cultivation), but now reaches unsustainable levels and destructive, encouraging the excessive logging and promoting large-scale conversion of forest land to agriculture and livestock. Generally, they are unsustainable and cause permanent damage to the forest ecosystem.
