Mangroves are an irreplaceable and unique ecosystem, hosting incredible biodiversity of animals, plants, mollusks, birds so they are considered as one of the five most productive ecological units in the world.

Are distributed in tropical and sub-tropical areas of the planet Earth, warm regions where the sun is intense; natural limit to the mangrove is temperature.
The tropics are part of the world that has the greatest diversity of species in the world and the geographical distribution of the mangrove ecosystem is located here, in places such as marshes, estuaries, protected or exposed coasts, bays, gulfs and coastlines.
